  • Larry Mohn

    Founder

    Larry worked for over 40 years for the Virginia Department of Game & Inland Fisheries as a stream biologist and led the agency’s stream restoration program. He has worked with state and federal agencies as well as private landowners for over thirty years on promoting and designing natural stream projects. He has also been a leading voice within Virginia for encouraging the natural stream design approach to stream restoration. Larry has completed Wildland Hydrology (Rosgen) and retired from state service on April 30, 2011, to devote full time to Shenandoah StreamWorks.

  • Monte “Boogie” Atkins

    Founder

    Monte has been working for the past 17 years on a variety of natural stream restoration projects under the direction of VDGIF, USFWS, USFS, CVI and others. He completed a natural stream restoration course for contractors sponsored by NC State and recently completed Wildland Hydrology classes (Rosgen) . Monte has installed most of VDGIF’s 40+ LIP projects totaling several miles of stream work and recently completed a 4500’ project for CVI on Blacks Run in Harrisonburg.

  • Harrison Mohn

    Project Manager

    Harrison graduated from Utah State University with a Masters degree in fisheries biology. Classwork involved a host of fisheries management classes, as well as Fluvial Geomorphology. Harrison worked at BIO-WEST, Inc. for 4 years as a fisheries biologist, working on imperiled desert fish species of the southwest, primarily humpback chub and razorback sucker. Harrison left this position in 2018 in order to devote full time to stream restoration work with Shenandoah StreamWorks. He has taken Wildland Hydrology classes I – IV (Rosgen) .
